Book review: Regional Security in West Africa: Building a Regional Security Architecture under ECOWAS in the Post-Cold War Era

Though several regional organizations in Africa were formed following the post-colonial era, their contributions towards regional economic and political integration have been minimal. Their importance in this regard had been insignificant both regionally and internationally until recently. Evidently, this decline has had direct consequences against regional organizations, which had been in hibernation state for the last few decades. However, during the long period of inactive role in the economic and politico-security landscape, the period offered exceptional opportunities to ECOWAS, which managed to survive the Cold War period and laid down frameworks for greater cooperation and integration among ... << MORE >>

New wave is blowing accross the Arab World: The writing on the wall!

Leadership lessons from Jesus as change agent

This paper examines Matt 21: 1 – 17 and draws lessons from Jesus’ leadership as change agent. Using intertexture, the essay analyzes the representation of the four inter-texts outside of this text. The text was divided into three pieces for the sake of simplicity. Following the exegetical analysis on the inter-texts, the paper presents the three main leadership applications: Know the time to implement your vision; identify and confront corrupt systems boldly, and serve your followers like Jesus.
