Excel through Kingdom knowledge-Part II

In our previous session, we tried to uncover the deadliest consequences of the lack of knowledge. The mystery of knowledge is that it is not just you are missing something you don’t know; it doesn’t stop there. The lack of it has huge toll.

We pay dare prices including but not limited to- as we have seen in the previous session- rejection from God whether we are His priests or ordinary men. The dual sequels of knowledge is that it delivers unquestionable results when we have it while the lack of it destroys our very spiritual life and beyond. That was why Jesus said, "Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." (John 8: 32) The Bible says in another place, "but through knowledge the righteous will be delivered" (Proverb 11:9). As we have seen last time, the lack of knowledge destroys and sends us to captivity (Hosea 4:6; Isaiah 5: 13).

This week, we should ask why God is so serious about this knowledge stuff. We should also make some issues clear. We should make clear the kind of knowledge we are talking here. We should also point out the two unproductive categories of Christians when we are discussing knowledge. Our goal is to show our readers on how getting understanding in our most being is more than a commandment. We will strive to explain that the kind of wisdom we are discussing is very far from mere gathering of tones of information and of course very apart from worldly wisdom. Our zeal is also to remind you that there are two unproductive groups of Christians who exhaust either of their mind or spirit to one extreme and fail in maintaining the balance and exploit the benefit of developing both in gaining divine wisdom and exploit while they are on earth.

Once I asked myself this important question, "Why knowledge is so important to God to the extent of ignoring when His people Israelites were taken into captivity and when His people were destroyed because they lack it?" I remember demanding God explanations. One of the insights God gave me was by taking me to a scripture in Psalm. "Surely, you desire truth in the inner parts; you teach me wisdom in the inmost place." (Psalm 51: 6) Why God desires us to have wisdom in our most being? God knows that when we don’t have wisdom in our inner most being, we are far away from knowing the truth.

Who is Wisdom? The Bible says, "Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God" (1 Corinthians 1: 24) Jesus said, "I came into the world, to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me." (John 18:37) If we don’t have Wisdom of God in our most being, we may not side to the truth and know it. We may think we are wise but we cannot even listen to Christ (the Truth) as far as we don't have knowledge in our most being. Therefore, for God, our being having knowledge is more than a commandment. As we die spiritually and no hope of resurrection for eternal life with God when we don't embrace Jesus Christ in our inner most heart, there is no wonder why our denial of knowledge to access our heart leads to destruction and captivity.

God has provided His only Son, through His unspeakable love, as the way out of eternal death and there is no better way to watch someone caught into the captivity of the devil and destroyed eternally. Likewise, there is no other better way than to watch us led into captivity and destructions when we refrain from listening to His advises for us to have wisdom in our most inner being. Friend, the ball is rolling in your court yard and this is time to roll up your sleeve and drunk with divine knowledge. There is no excuses; there is no faking around; there is no superficial memorizing scriptures; go and get pregnant with wisdom in your inner most being and get saved from captivity and destruction. Welcome to your season of liberty as you are impregnated with wisdom, which is the desire of the Most High.

It maybe fair to emphasis once again that the knowledge we are talking about is not a mere knowledge of scriptures or knowledge about facts we gather using our senses. It is clear that God’s Word is spirit. We cannot just get divine knowledge behind scriptures (scriptures are God-breathed 2 Timothy 3:16) by reading and memorizing them. We should seek the revelation attached to a particular scripture to enjoy the wisdom incorporated within that Word. To do that, we should engage our spirit (that is the lamp of God which searches his inner most being- Proverbs 20:27) and God's Spirit Who searches all things, even the deep things of God (1 Corinthians 2:10). We will talk this issue some time in the future; however, let’s make sure that the knowledge we gain without engaging God and our redeemed spirit is equivalent to nothing. It is not better than foolishness to think that we can gain the height of wisdom without tapping into the Creator’s Mind. Seeking knowledge using our mere sense organs is futile.

Paul ridiculed such a mentality and admonished by reminding the deadliest consequences of such an approach. "Where is the wise man? Where is the scholar? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?" (1 Corinthians 1: 20) "For although they knew God, they neither glorified Him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools" (Romans 1:21-22).

On the other hand, though Paul did not discuss in his era as he might thought that it is straight forward, ignoring to use the mind to exploit our living on earth would be an abuse and again foolishness. Though having divine wisdom and knowledge to enjoy our life on earth is the most desirable thing to us and our Father, we should not fail, at least, because we are lacking basic conventional knowledge on various aspects of life affairs. The most intriguing question concerned persons should ask is, ‘how come Christians score the same or even worst rate in life’s affairs like relationships, finance, intelligence, and so on?’ There is no doubt that, when we experience and/or observe such poor rating among the children of light, something is going wrong: not only divine wisdom is missing but conventional skill to handle issues using our mere mind is malfunctioning.

This frustrating reality is not a new phenomenon. Jesus Christ was wondering how the children of this world are wiser than the children of light as He lamented in Luke 16: 8. Jesus never stopped expecting wisdom from His followers as He commanded His disciples to be wise as serpents and as harmless as doves. Jesus was the same yesterday, today and forever where He still grieves when His children are outsmarted because they lack of knowledge.

In this inspirational word, we are not saying that there are no Christians who are outsmarting the world and exploit both with their mind and spirit. However, there are categories of people within the Body of Christ whom we think are not productive when it comes to exploiting their mind and spirit. There are two extremes in the Body of Christ: those who depend only on worldly knowledge and their mind by processing readily available facts while there are others who think that the over utilization of their spiritual side is a substitute or an excuse to dwarf the function of their mind. In this article, we are not going to address the former case. It is another big topic as such people are missing the advantage of engaging their spiritual side to draw divine wisdom from God who is Spirit.

There are such categories of people who deemed their mind a vestigial organ as they take it out of the equation of life on earth. They undermined the need to use their mind in seeking conventional knowledge. They think that they don't need to think through, read books, meditate, plan, or project and so on to demonstrate excellence and also solve life’s challenges. Their excuses is that tapping into their spiritual being following their redemption has already rendered them some moderate exploit and they are satisfied with that fruit where they don't see why they cause sweat their head They think everything and all challenges are answerable to prayer and tongues. If that was the case, why God gave us mind? Tough question: why we claim that we have the mind of Christ if we don’t use it? Where is the full enjoyment if we minus the mind of Christ out of the redemption package? If we should love and serve God with our whole redeemed being, don't they think that it is an insult to God when they give all their parts to worship and serve but the mind, which is atrophied unfairly? There could be many questions that should be posed to this camp..................
